Jelen Acres is our home. It is currently a 5.25 acre piece of land located in coastal South Carolina. When we bought the property it came with a 1800 square foot home with a 1500 square foot out building, 2 deep water wells a 1/4acre pond, and 14 pecan trees, sawtooth oaks and that's about it. It was a bank owned property. We got a good deal but the house was left pretty well torn up.
Because of this the house was pretty much a bear skeleton when we moved. So to make a long story short we have been working on it ever since. It is going to be project after project after project before we even get close to a home that is even remotely what we want it to be.
The nice thing about this is we get to do things how we want them. As this seems great but it has also proven to be as much a burden as a blessing but we are working through it and making the best of it. I would say the biggest lesson has been one of patience. Be sure to visit back often as we continue on this journey.
